Trafalgar is giving one lucky past guest the chance to become Godmother of its newest river ship, Trafalgar Dreamer, with a free spot on its inaugural sailing also up for grabs for their travel agent.
The operator has issued a final call for entries to its Great Godmother Search, with applications closing on 29 October 2026.
The competition invites past Trafalgar guests to share a meaningful memory or story from their travels, with the winner earning the honour of christening Trafalgar Dreamer ahead of its debut on France’s Seine River in April 2027.
There’s something in it for travel advisors, too. If the winning guest names their travel agent in their application, the advisor will receive a complimentary place on the ship’s inaugural Seine sailing alongside their client.
Trafalgar is encouraging agents to contact previous clients and remind them to enter, ensuring they include their advisor’s name and agency in the submission.
Only past Trafalgar guests are eligible to enter, and agents cannot submit applications on behalf of clients.
The competition follows the tradition established by Trafalgar Verity and Trafalgar Reverie, which previously saw Australian Kate McIntosh named as a Godmother.
“Travel has a way of creating memories that stay with us long after a trip comes to an end, and those stories are at the heart of what makes the Trafalgar experience so special,” TTC Tour Brands deputy CEO and chief sales officer Melissa DaSilva said.
“The Great Godmother Search allows us an opportunity to celebrate the meaningful connections our guests have made through travel and invite one of those travellers to play a special role in welcoming Trafalgar Dreamer to the Seine.
“Our travel agents are an important part of those journeys, and we wanted to recognise their role in orchestrating these memorable experiences.”
Launching in April 2027, Trafalgar Dreamer will operate the new Best of the Seine with Paris & Normandy itinerary, bringing the brand’s guided travel experiences to Europe’s waterways.
