Lonely Planet has today unveiled its top destinations to visit next year with the release of Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2027.
Best in Travel 2027 features 25 must-visit destinations and 25 must-do experiences from around the globe.
The Tweed in NSW was named as one of the Top 25 Best Destinations to visit in the world by Lonely Planet while immersing yourself in art in the Red Centre, Australia was among the top 25 experiences.
Other top destinations in the region included New Zealand’s Dunedin and the Pacific Island nation of New Caledonia, with ocean adventures in French Polynesia and experiencing Fa’a in Samoa also included in the 25 Top Experiences.
This year’s list from Lonely Planet taps into what we’re seeing and hearing most from travellers: a desire to slow down, escape the crowds and seek out meaningful experiences that go beyond the obvious.
