The ultimate luxury? Silence – Travel Weekly duniapermainan.id portal berita batam sekupang akurat

Forget infinity pools and butler service. The Apurva Kempinski Bali is betting that the ultimate luxury for modern travellers is something far simpler: peace and quiet.

The five-star resort in Nusa Dua has launched Mauna: The Art of Silence, a new wellness program inspired by Nyepi, Bali’s sacred Day of Silence, designed to help guests disconnect from the noise of everyday life.

Rather than simply encouraging guests to switch off their phones, the experience combines traditional Balinese practices with meditation, movement, mindful eating and restorative sleep.

“Most of us are surrounded by noise all day, and we don’t realise how tired it makes us until we stop,” The Apurva Kempinski Bali director of spa Ira Maharani said.

“Mauna is about giving people permission to pause. When you slow down and listen, you start to feel clearer, calmer and kinder, to yourself and to the people around you.”

The program is built around four pillars: Mindfulness, Movement with Presence, Nourishment as Ritual and Profound Renewal.

Guests can take part in guided meditation, conscious breathing, yoga, Pilates and Balinese Sacred Movement inspired by traditional dance.

For those looking to nourish more than their minds, the program also includes traditional Javanese jamu-making workshops, lessons exploring the psychology of eating and visits to Balinese villages to discover local food traditions.

Meanwhile, the Profound Renewal offering focuses on sleep science, sound healing and personalised evening rituals, including candlelit baths.

The experience takes place at the resort’s luxury spa overlooking the Indian Ocean, with the property’s cascading terraces, tropical gardens and water features providing a suitably peaceful backdrop.

“A holiday should send you home feeling different from when you arrived,” The Apurva Kempinski Bali PR and marketing manager Charles Octoriano said.

“With Mauna, our guests don’t just relax for a few days. They experience practices rooted in Balinese tradition that they can take home and use every day.”

The program was recently introduced to Australian media and influencers at an exclusive cultural immersion event at 38 Degrees Bathhouse in Bondi, attended by Jules Robinson, Fiona Faulkiner and mindfulness coach Tom Conin.

Mauna is now available to Australian travellers staying at The Apurva Kempinski Bali.
