W Brisbane is expanding its meetings and events offering with the launch of three new studios on Level 6, turning premium river-view space into a destination for executive meetings, private dining, intimate conferences, celebrations and cocktail receptions.
The new Level 6 collection combines panoramic Brisbane River views, natural light, advanced AV technology, flexible configurations and a more personalised approach to food and beverage – offering an alternative to traditional meeting and conference spaces.
The launch responds to growing demand for smaller, more flexible event spaces, with W Brisbane increasingly accommodating shorter-lead and smaller-scale events alongside its larger conferences and functions.
Kirsty Clunes, director of sales and distribution at W Brisbane, said meeting planners were seeking venues that felt distinctive and had the technology to match how businesses operate today. She said natural light, views, quality food and beverage, and advanced AV were increasingly important considerations for smaller groups, where every element of the experience is more visible.
At the centre of the collection is Studio 7, W Brisbane’s premier new event space. At 63 square metres, the studio is framed by sweeping views across South Bank and the Wheel of Brisbane. A private adjoining office and advanced technology allow the space to move from VIP board meetings by day to elevated dining experiences by night.
Studio 5 and Studio 6 feature three-metre seamless direct-view LED displays with ultra-fine 1.5mm pixel pitch, distributed ceiling audio, wireless presentation and content sharing, and one-touch room control.
Studio 5 offers a 55-square-metre setting with west-facing views across the Brisbane River and city, making it well suited to sunset events. The space is anchored by a large boardroom table and equipped with a built-in three-metre LED screen and integrated ceiling audio.
Clients can book individual studios or the entire floor, which can accommodate up to 136 guests. The three studios range from 55 to 63 square metres, catering for up to 49 guests each, or up to 136 guests when the collection is booked as an exclusive floor.
A dedicated multipurpose space forms the central arrival and catering hub, able to convert into a casual dining area, breakout zone, co-working space or guest registration area. It also enables bespoke catering experiences not currently available within W Brisbane’s existing Level 3 studio collection.
Food and beverage has been reworked alongside the new spaces, moving away from traditional buffet-style conference catering toward individually portioned lunch options, wholesome menu selections and continuous all-day refreshments, alongside premium snacks, tea and coffee.
W Brisbane was also recently announced as the Official Hotel Partner of Queensland Ballet, marking the beginning of a long-term collaboration that will bring together luxury hospitality, world-class performance and immersive guest experiences.
