WATCH: How AmaWaterways turned low water levels into a win duniapermainan.id portal berita batam sekupang akurat

When low water levels disrupted AmaWaterways’ Danube itinerary, the cruise line had a choice: cancel or adapt.

On its first River of Rewards mega famil, AmaWaterways chose the latter, turning a potential setback into a showcase of flexibility, resilience and standout service.

Travel Weekly editor Grant Jones joined top-selling Aussie advisors onboard AmaSofia to see how the line kept the experience on track, and why guests came away with plenty of reasons to sell river cruising to their clients.

The River of Rewards initiative, launched around 18 months ago, was designed to reward advisors not only for revenue generated through AmaWaterways bookings, but also for engaging with and learning about the brand.

AmaWaterways Australasia general manager Steve Richards told Travel Weekly that the program had proved highly successful, with advisors able to earn points through bookings as well as activities such as completing Ama Academy training and promoting the brand to their databases.

“River of Rewards has been hugely successful,” Richards said.

“It was a concept that we came up with about a year and a half ago, and we wanted to make it an opportunity for the agents to be able to get bookings and earn their cabins through revenue.”
